Support NOB/IDA

The Northern Ohio Branch of The International Dyslexia Association (NOB/IDA) is an organization dedicated to expanding awareness and providing services to families who are affected by dyslexia. Our mission is to “offer hope, information, education, and the opportunity for personal success to people with dyslexia and those who interact with them in Northern Ohio.” The members of NOB/IDA include individuals who have an interest in dyslexia, such as parents, educators, physicians, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, researchers, etc. Local Branch services include a referral list of professionals specializing in the diagnosis and/or treatment of dyslexia, research-based information pertinent to the individual with dyslexia, a voice mail line for inquiries, and several programs offered throughout the year such as a symposium with nationally recognized experts, teacher training seminars, and a simulation program titled, “Walk in the Shoes of a Dyslexic.” During NOB/IDA’s 16 years in existence, all programs and services have been designed and implemented by its all-volunteer Board of Trustees.
